A BRONZE MOUNTED TEA CADDY WITH KAKIEMON DECOR

Meissen (?), probably 18th century

Ovoid shape. Body and shoulder decorated with polychrome painted, reliefed lancet leaves, the body continouisly painted with Indian flowers, birds and insects. Later bronze mounting. Minute chips.
Formerly in a Dutch Collection, acquired before 2007.
